Instructions

  1. Wash cucumbers thoroughly and slice them into spears or rounds.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine white vinegar, sugar, salt, and dill. Stir until the sugar dissolves (about 2 minutes).
  3. Add crushed garlic cloves to the brine and simmer for another minute.
  4. Pack sliced cucumbers tightly into clean glass jars and pour warm brine over them until fully submerged.
  5. Allow jars to cool at room temperature for about an hour before sealing with lids.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (best overnight) to allow flavors to develop.
