Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat, then stir in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and half of the marinara sauce. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese with one egg (optional), salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Lay three noodles side by side and spread half of the ricotta mixture over them, followed by half of the beef mixture.
  4. Top with half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers: noodles, ricotta mixture, beef mixture, and marinara sauce.
  5. Finish with remaining noodles topped with leftover marinara sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Preheat grill to medium heat (350°F). Cover tightly with foil and grill for about 30 minutes; uncover for the last 10 minutes to brown the cheese.
