Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.

  3. Add eggs one by one to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition; then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Gently fold in slivered almonds and chopped plums.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and level it out. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown; a toothpick inserted should come out clean.
  6. Cool in the pan for ten minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
