Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water and yeast; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes). Combine flour and salt in another bowl. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil; stir until combined.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm spot for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Punch down the dough; roll it into a rectangle. Spread minced garlic, herbs, and cheese evenly over the surface. Roll tightly into a log shape and pinch seams.
  4. Place seam-side down in a greased loaf pan; cover and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before slicing.
