Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough portions onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  8. Drizzle warm caramel sauce over each cookie as soon as they come out of the oven.
  9. Melt additional chocolate chips and drizzle over the caramel-topped cookies.
