How to Make Smoky and Creamy Caramelized Onion Bacon Dip

  • Caramelize Onions: Heat a pan over medium heat, add sliced onions, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 15-20 minutes until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
  • Cook Bacon: In a separate pan, fry the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Once done, let it cool and crumble into bite-sized pieces.
  • Mix Dip Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine your caramelized onions, crumbled bacon, cream cheese, sour cream, and shredded cheddar. Stir until everything is well blended and creamy.
  • Bake: Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes until bubbling and golden on top.
  • Cool & Serve: Allow the dip to cool slightly. Garnish with fresh chives or a sprinkle of extra bacon bits. Serve warm with your choice of chips or fresh vegetable sticks.
