How to Make Voodoo Egg Rolls

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until no longer pink; drain any excess grease.
  • Add Cajun seasoning and garlic powder to the skillet, stirring to incorporate; allow the mixture to cool for about 5 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the seasoned beef with cheddar cheese, green onions, and shredded carrots; gently fold everything together.
  • Position an egg roll wrapper in a diamond shape, place 2-3 tablespoons of the filling in the center, then fold and roll tightly.
  • In a deep pan, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C); use a thermometer for precise temperature.
  • Carefully fry the egg rolls in batches for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove the egg rolls with a slotted spoon, draining on paper towels, then serve hot.
