Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, and herbs.
  • Gently pat the sushi-grade tuna steaks dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  • Preheat a skillet or grill over high heat until super hot.
  • Remove the tuna from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Add the steaks to the hot pan and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side.
  • Once done, place the seared tuna on plates and drizzle with lemon caper butter.
